During my first semester taking and English class we had to do a composition book. Some were full of notes that we took for class, and some were our own fun and ideas. Some of these notes were from the reading material we read in class and some were maps. I called it an idea map. where we only had a minute to write down an expression map.
Here is an example of the note taking we did for a passage called Maps. I also work in an ER, so I used the stickers to keep track of my days. One thing I earned from this reading was NOT ALL MAPS READ THE SAME. Most people measure maps in different ways which can cause quite a bit of confusion.
More note taking, but I also added "Lyrics of the day" I have them on most of my composition book sections because music speaks to my sole and I like to express that. Expressing music each time writing in this book gives it a little piece of my personality and I feel like that's very important in life. Also, not forgetting that caffeine addiction with my sticker from my Dunkin order from that day.
A big part of our assignment was producing questions to ask our peers. Here is an example of me trying to come up with the best questions my brain could think of that day. Again, I have my "lyrics of the day", one of favorite songs is "Might Love Myself" BY Beartooth. It's a good song to listen on a bad mental health day.
This is a hand drawn comic showing a girl struggling to find a topic when trying to write a paper. Her computer goes crazy and when she clicks on the strange message she gets sucked into a vortex and gets sent to this technology world with all sorts of research websites. She chooses a search icon, and it sends her into another part of the world where she gets surrounded by all different topics. When she is looking "space" sticks out to her and she touches the word and get sucked back into another version of a vortex. She gets sent back to her desk and with all the found knowledge she's able to write her paper.
